The University of South Australia (UniSA) is ranked among the best young universities in the world. The University’s seven academic units deliver outstanding programs and conduct relevant informed research.
The university’s existing paper-based enquiry management system was posing many challenges that included manual entry into systems, no reporting and inconsistency in collecting information locally. These issues combined to limit UniSA’s ability to accept all student registrations.
XAM was commissioned to devise a paperless solution to manage student enquiries for use by international agents who sell UniSA’s courses.
XAM’s undertook end-to-end delivery of the UI Design, tech design and build, including project management and training.
XAM’s built a secure Windows desktop (UWP) solution and mobile iOS app for UniSA.
A customised external library was also employed to connect to their Microsoft Active Directory (MSAL – Microsoft Authentication Library) authentication system.
XAM provided integration with the Oracle CRM to be deployed on the Windows Surface Pro devices (Microsoft Active Directory) used by the international agents and staff.
XAM successfully project managed and delivered the new student enquiry management system for UniSA.
As well as designing and delivering an effective paperless solution, the Xam team also trained the UniSA support team, empowering them to manage the long-term maintenance of the new system.
The results of the system’s implementation were very positive and UniSA increased student registrations by 20%.
